The Egyptian God Cards
The three Egyptian God cards are Slifer the Sky Dragon,
Obelisk the Tormentor, and The Winged Dragon of Ra. These cards are
technically not legitimate Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game cards and they
have no effects and can't be used in your deck. They are mainly for
collecting only but if you use them in duels against friends then they
actually do have some effects.
Obelisk the Tormentor
The name Obelisk the Tormentor was derived from the term "obelisk," a
type of monument. Obelisk the Tormentor has to be summoned by
sacrificing three monster cards on your side of the field. When Obelisk
the Tormentor is normal summoned it cannot be negated and also no
effects or cards can be activated. Obelisk the Tormentor is impervious
to all traps, magics, and effects. You can only special summon Obelisk
the Tormentor for one turn only. Obelisk the Tormentor can also destroy
all monsters on your opponents side of the field if you tribute two
monsters. If you use this effect then Obelisk the Tormentor cannot
attack that turn. Remember that you can not use an Egyptian God card in a
official duel but if you get someone to agree then you can use the
cards.
Slifer the Sky Dragon
The English name Slifer the Sky Dragon is derived from an inside
joke by Roger Slifer, a producer of the English-language adaptation to
the anime. Slifer the Sky Dragon can be normal summoned by sacrificing 3
monster cards on your side of the field. Slifer the Sky Dragon can not
be negated when normal summoned and no other cards can be activated.
Slifer the Sky Dragon can only be special summoned for one turn. Slifer
the Sky Dragon has an attack equal to the amount of cards in your hand
times 1000. When your opponent summons or special summons a monster in
face-up attack position it will lose 2000 attack points and if the
attack reaches 0 then it is destroyed.
The Winged Dragon of Ra
The name The Winged Dragon of Ra is derived from the name of Ra, the
Egyptian God of the Sun. The Winged Dragon of Ra can only be normal
summoned and that is done by sacrificing three monsters on your side of
the field as tribute. The Winged Dragon of Ra cannot be negated when
summoned and other cards cannot be activated. You can also sacrifice all
your life points except 100 life points and the rest will be
transferred to the attack of The Winged Dragon of Ra. The Winged Dragon
of Ra will also let you sacrifice 1000 life points to destroy a monster
on your opponents side of the field. The Winged Dragon of Ra also gets
its attack and defense from the combined attacks and defenses of the
monsters that were sacrificed as tribute.
