Gimp is a image manipulation program like Photoshop. You can edit photos or create your own works of art. Gimp I think is a great program to have, but the best part is that it is free unlike Photoshop which is $500 or more. Gimp does not have all the features that Photoshop does but it has some other features that Photoshop does not have. So when you really get into all the features they have then you figure out that you can do the same thing with one as you can do with the other. So if you want to create abstract pieces of art, touch up a photo, or do any image manipulation at all then go get Gimp. You can do anything from altering pictures to creating abstract pieces of art on Gimp. It has hundreds of brushes and a lot of neat gradients to choose from. It is easy to get the hang of even if you have never used a program like it before. It is also easy to get, just go to http://www.gimp.org and download it. It is great to have if you need to do any designs or just to touch up a picture. It is also just fun to play with in your spare time, so have fun creating a masterpiece.
